Week 8
Wow! What a busy half term it has been. The children have settled in well and have been getting used to our daily routines. They are making friends and have been accessing all areas of the indoor and outdoor learning environment. It has been a pleasure to see them grow in confidence and embrace their learning. This week, we had a very special visitor, who is an author from Jamaica! She shared her story about Anansi the Spider and then taught the children some songs. Here are a couple of photographs;
Next half term, our topic is ‘Changes’. We shall be exploring the seasons of Autumn and Winter and learning about ‘hibernation’. The children will be ‘going on a bear hunt’ and learning about ‘Stick Man’. We invite you over half term to go on a leaf hunt with your child and collect different kinds of leaves. We would love to see your collections after the half term holiday!
Please keep on reading over the holidays. Maybe you can visit one of the many libraries throughout Southwark!
